A clear curriculum for steady Quran and Arabic progress
Tilawa Academy’s curriculum pages are designed to help learners understand what comes next in their study rather than moving between unrelated lessons. Each pathway represents a stage of development, from foundational reading skills through stronger Quran recitation, Tajweed, memorisation, Arabic language development and more advanced learning goals.
The curriculum is not intended to force every student through the same timetable. A teacher first considers the learner’s current ability, previous study and goals, then uses the appropriate stage as a practical framework for lessons. This helps beginners build secure foundations while allowing experienced learners to focus on the specific skills they still need to strengthen.
How the learning stages are organised
The stages below provide a structured view of the available learning pathway. Students may begin at different points depending on their reading ability, pronunciation, Tajweed knowledge, memorisation experience or Arabic language skills. Progress is based on demonstrated ability rather than simply completing a fixed number of lessons.

Choosing the right starting level
A child who is still recognising Arabic letters will need a different starting point from a learner who already reads Quran fluently. Adults may also enter the curriculum at any appropriate stage. Teachers can identify gaps in pronunciation, reading accuracy, fluency, Tajweed or language understanding and recommend a level that addresses those needs directly.
The curriculum therefore works as a map: it shows the direction of study while still allowing the individual teacher to adapt lesson pace, practice and revision to the student.
