Why Tilawa Academy Began
Tilawa Academy began after seeing families searching for dependable Quran and Arabic education but struggling to find lessons that combined qualified teachers, personal attention and clear learning plans. Many students had enthusiasm, yet lacked a steady path. Many parents wanted to help, yet did not know where to begin.
Learning Should Not Depend on Location
A child in a small town should have the same opportunity to learn as a child living near a major Islamic centre. An adult returning to the Quran should feel welcomed, not embarrassed. Distance, busy schedules and different starting levels should never become barriers between a learner and beneficial knowledge.
We Started With One Learner at a Time
The idea was not to create crowded online classrooms. We wanted every learner to be known by name, understood by their teacher and guided according to their own level. The first step was simple: connect committed learners with caring teachers through live one-to-one lessons.
From Individual Lessons to a Complete Learning Journey
As more families joined, the academy developed structured programmes in Quran reading, Tajweed, memorisation, Arabic and Islamic Studies. Lessons became part of a connected journey with assessment, clear goals, regular feedback and gradual progress.
