Parent Guidance

Parents and guardians are an important part of a child’s learning journey. These guidelines are designed to help families create a positive, safe and effective online learning environment.

1. Create a suitable learning space

Choose a quiet, well-lit place with as few distractions as possible. A stable desk or table and clear audio can help your child concentrate and communicate effectively with the teacher.

2. Prepare before the lesson

Help your child join on time and prepare any Qur’an, book, notebook or learning material requested by the teacher. Check the device, microphone and internet connection before the lesson begins.

3. Support younger learners appropriately

Younger children may need a parent nearby, particularly at the beginning of their learning journey. At the same time, allow the child enough independence to communicate directly with the teacher.

4. Encourage without unnecessary pressure

Learning requires repetition and patience. Praise effort and improvement and avoid comparing your child continuously with other learners.

5. Review between lessons

Short and regular revision is often more helpful than long, occasional study sessions. A few minutes of daily reading, recitation or revision can make a significant difference.

6. Communicate with the Academy

If your child repeatedly struggles with a topic, loses concentration, experiences technical difficulties or needs a change of schedule, please contact us so we can help.

7. Protect privacy and online safety

Do not share private lesson links or account information with unauthorised people. Children should use online services with age-appropriate parental supervision.

8. Support regular attendance

Consistency is particularly important for Qur’an reading, Tajweed and memorisation. Where possible, maintain the agreed schedule and notify the Academy early if attendance is not possible.

9. Maintain a positive learning environment

Mistakes are a normal part of learning. Encourage your child to ask questions, try again and view correction as part of progress.
